MY DETAILS -1 (Visible to all)
Last Link Limited
A highly experienced Operations Executive, with a deep understanding of how to develop Operational Strategies and deploy them, getting involved at all levels of the business. I have worked with business owners, corporate boards and Private Equity companies, applying my skills to a broad range of businesses across the Manufacturing, Retail and Service industries. I have had full P&L responsibility for several high-profile projects, ranging in size from £50,000 to £10 Million, including the project management of a £1.4 million collaborative project that was grant supported and monitored by Innovate UK, scoring 5 out of 5 for project management
I qualified as a Mechanical & Production Engineer in 1987 and started my career in the Petro-Chemical industry; working for one of the world’s leading Valve Manufacturers, where I cut my teeth in Lean techniques and TQM; being trained at the Crosby Institute. I had various roles in my 10-year tenure, rising in seniority and responsibility including Quality Manager, Engineering Manager and Business Unit Manager. In 1998 I went to Cranfield University where I studied and further developed my Operational skills; and in 2000 I was awarded the prestigious Fellowship in Manufacturing Management.
I am an excellent communicator and am comfortable in discussions at all levels of an organisation, from the board of a FTSE 100 Corporation to the shop floor personnel of an SME. One of my key strengths is my ability to not only provide the strategic direction but also to engage the team and guide them through the Change Programme so that they understand their part and see what is in it for them.
