The Institute of Interim Management (IIM) simplifies life for interim managers across the UK with today’s publication of the Interim Managers’ Guide to Service Providers 2011.
Available as a free download from the IIM’s web-site, the guide is a unique resource that profiles the Top 40 Interim Management Service Providers giving details of the sector and role specialisation of each firm along with contact details.
The guide also provides expert advice for interim managers on how best to build and maintain relationships with service providers.
According to the IIM’s recent Interim Management Survey 2011, service providers handle 49 per cent of all interim assignments (the others being direct, client to interim contacts) and in three quarters of those cases, the interim manager is contacted by a provider with whom he already has a relationship.
Ad van der Rest, the IIM’s co-Chairman worked closely with service providers and the interim management community to agree the guidance and advises: “Building relationships with interim service providers has to start with a ‘win-win’ approach. If interim managers market themselves professionally to the most appropriate service providers, then we make best use of everybody’s time and take the first steps in establishing enduring relationships of trust.”
