London, 9th June 2011 – Hilary Husbands and Ad van der Rest have been appointed as co-Chairs of the Institute
of Interim Management (IIM).
The shared Chairman role is a first for the IIM and reflects the number of developments in the interim world and the volume of initiatives which the IIM
is currently driving; too much for a single chair-person to coordinate. The appointment also reflects the complementary skills and experience of the appointees.
In other moves, former Chairman Tom Brass steps down after his three-year term but will remain on the board and continue to drive the Public Affairs agenda for interim management.
Mike Thompson stands down as Treasurer after successfully steering the IIM through the economic downturn with the role passing to David Pugh.
Stephen Graham-Weall is stepping down from the main board but will retain a Regional Director brief for the South West.
Tony Evans remains on the board, completing the team.
Ad and Hilary are in discussions with further new board appointees who will be announced in due course. They will also be sharing their perspectives on the next steps for the Institute over the coming weeks.
