IIM Case Study Finalists hoping to fly high

30 October 2009

6 Interim Managers will be giving case study presentations to a panel of judges and an audience drawn from industry, public sector, interim recruiters and their peers in the interim world at the IIM Case Study Finals night.

They will be aiming high for the first prize of indoor skydiving lessons and experiences plus a stay in a nearby Hilton Hotel.

The Finalists have been selected by the judges on the basis of a written submission of their case study. On the finals night, Thursday 26th November 2009 at the Hilton Hotel, Paddington, London, they will be under the lights giving live presentations of their stories.

They are (in no particular order):

Diane Ashton-Jeanes, Symplexity ltd

Peter Alderslade, Aid and Abet Ltd

Paul Liversidge, PL Interim Management Ltd

David Mitchell, Corporate Data Ltd

Andy Rothery, Dynamic Edge Ltd

Stefan Kirk, Glenboden Ltd

Knowledge Peers will be video interviewing all the finalists and will make the interviews available online at www.knowlegepeers.com from the 16th November. Viewer votes on the interviews will be counted in the event of a tie on the finals night.

The Finals Night will be hosted by journalist Mike Rowbottom and the judges are Chris Dines, the CEO of Knowledge Peers, Jason Luckhurst, the MD of Practicus, Joanne Davis from BMW Group Finance and Tom Brass the Chairman of the Institute of Interim Management.

The IIM wanted to present a more transparent and entertaining evening than the normal “opening of the envelope” where no-one can see how the winners were arrived at. So this idea has been the most natural development, following the popular format seen weekly on our TV screens.

“Not many business awards are this open” said Tom Brass. “It will be entertaining but have an underlying message of real value which professional interims deliver to industry and public sector customers.”

The evening kicks off with a buffet supper at the Hilton, Paddington and ends with the presentation of prizes.
