HMRC Update Guidance on Registration under the Money Laundering Regulations

HM Revenue & Customs have published their updated MLR 9 Registration Notice following feedback from businesses and discussions with HM Treasury.

Trust or Company Service Providers (TCSPs) and Accountancy Service Providers (ASPs) can check to see if they are required to register with HMRC.

New registration dates have also been announced.

In the Interim Management context, the TCSP definition potentially applies to Interims operating at director level (whether formally appointed as directors, or as shadow directors) to their clients; the ASP definition potentially applies to Interims operating at any level at their clients who are involved in financial management, and whether qualified accountants or not.
