On the
IIM...
Interim management is an increasingly important discipline and resourcing
tool, both in the UK and internationally. Whatever the size of client organisations,
the industry sectors in which they operate, or business issues faced, IIM Members
represent the highest standards of quality, best practice and experience, and
are uniquely placed to deliver the right solutions.

The IIM is Changing Its Phone Number
19 December 2007
The Institute adopted its present ‘generic’ 0870 number so that its advertised main contact number could remain the same despite changes in the IIM’s officers. At that time, the national call rate to which it is linked meant call charges to the number were competitively priced, but the subsequent opening up of the telecoms market has led to new tariffs which undercut the national rate, making 0870 numbers an unattractive option for members and others wanting to contact the Institute. In addition, the telecoms regulator, Ofcom, has announced new rules surrounding 0870 numbers which will come into effect in the Spring of 2008. The Institute has therefore taken the opportunity to review whether it should continue with the 0870 number or move to an alternative ‘generic number’. It has decided a change is appropriate, and the Institute’s new number going forward is therefore: 0800 030 4716The old 0870 number will continue to work in parallel for a little while, but the new 0800 number is already ‘live’ now, so please alter your address books and automated diallers as soon as possible. A reminder that calls to the new 0800 number on a UK landline should be free, but calls from a mobile phone will be charged according to your mobile supplier’s tariff.
