The Institute of Interim Management conducted interim management surveys in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 and is running its annual survey again in May/June 2011. Like the 2010 survey, this year’s survey questions are again addressed to an wider interim management audience as part of the IIM’s commitment to work across the ‘Interim community’. 748 people completed the 2010 survey, to give us statistical significance of better than +/- 3%. We would like to match or better that response this year.
The survey addresses interim management working, work status, routes to market, fees and day rates, PII, leading service providers, the state of the interim market, interim behaviour, interim networking and professional organisations. It also has bespoke sections with questions for service providers, prospective interim managers, clients and prospective clients, and consultants.
One of the most popular sections, running again this year, is the ‘leading service providers’ section where interim managers vote on their favourites and the IIM publishes its list of ‘leading service providers’. Over 4,000 unique votes were cast for leading providers last year.
This survey itself opened on Survey Monkey on the 1st May and will close in June at some point depending on vote numbers.

Please do fill it in, this is a genuinely independent survey which is designed to furnish useful and topical data to the interim management community and beyond. It is all about the data, so no personal information, including e-mail addresses are collected at any point. It’s about the quality of information, not an e-mail harvesting exercise.
We intend to have some healthy discussions as the results start to emerge on on LinkedIn community.
