Assignment brief and business case for consultancy We are seeking a high calibe individual to support the Council in this role on an interim basis while recruitment to the permanent post of Policy and Performance Manager position is carried out.
Requirements for skills, knowledge, experience

The permanent role will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development and practical delivery of policy, corporate planning, communications, web and marketing, performance management,research and consultation, risk management, and health, sustainability and economic development.The post also also includes responsibility for deputising for the Chief Policy and Partnerships Officer as required from time to time.

For the interim period the key priorities will be focusing on providing support and capacity to help on specific high priority projects. In particular

  • providing strategic direction on the Council\’s work in relation to business support and economic development, helping to develop and implement a clear and practical programme of action which will help improve local economic outcomes
  • developing the Council\’s role in relation to the new health agenda, and act as Lead Officer for the Council\’s innovative new Health and Wellbeing Partnership
  • supporting on specific strategic communications projects including tourism development (strategy, campaigns and website developemt), campaigns in support of the District\’s 60% recycling target and a range of other promotional work.

and any other duties as advised by the line manager.
